With my passion being in urban education, I completed a year-long internship in Chicago Public Schools through the Michigan State's Teacher Preparation Program. I was placed at Shoesmith Elementary, where I worked in a third grade classroom with 32 wonderful students. Challenging at times, this group of students taught me many lessons from finding my own management style to understanding the importance of patience and flexibly. It was an amazing year that helped me evolve into an enthusiastic teacher, well-equipped to take on my own classroom. I appreciated everything the year had to offer and how it helped me seek my own professional teaching style.
